Jack Collins
Born in Lynn, Mass., in 1939, Jack is one of eight children. He married Kathy Monahan in June, 1968, at St. Mary's in Lynn, Mass. Jack and Kathy moved to Nashua in 1978 and became members of St. Joseph The Worker Parish.
Jack and Kathy have three daughters: Catherine Collins, Laura Williamson, and Beth Raduazzo. They also have seven grandchildren; Bridget and Emma Williamson, Rachel and Alex Perigny, and Cora, Annie and Lucie Raduazzo. One of Jack's brothers, Father James Collins, is pastor at St. Matthew's Parish in Rhode Island. He also has a sister, Elaine Collins, who is a sister in the order of St. Joseph of Boston and an uncle who was a Jesuit priest.
Jack worked at Tulley Buick as a trained mechanic and worked in construction. He also worked for General Electric, Fletcher Appliance and retired from Whirlpool, Inc. four years ago.
Jack has grown God's gifts within our church and community. As a youth, Jack volunteered throughout High School as an Altar Server. In Lynn, Jack taught CCD at St. Mary's, was an American Red Cross Volunteer, and an Assistant District Chairman, Boy Scouts of America. He was also an Assistant Scout Master, St. Mary's, Troop 22, Scout Master at St. Pius V, was a Boy Scout Camp Season Volunteer, and coached Little League and girls softball.
Here at St. Joseph Parish, Jack is a Eucharistic minister, a member of the Liturgy Committee, trainer for servers and Eucharistic ministers, an altar server and a Mass coordinator. He has been on the Fundraising Committee for our new church building, the Building and Grounds Committee, the CYO Diocesan Athletic Board, a referee for the CYO Basketball Christmas Tournament (accepting no compensation) and assistant leader, Boy Scout Troop 272.
Our parish gratefully recognizes all that Jack has done and continues to do to build up God's Kingdom among us and asks God's blessings upon him.
