Email to Our Parishioners

Dear Parish Family,

Happy November! The trees have been dropping all their leaves and we’ve had a little taste of winter weather already. Darkness is arriving very early these days. We’ll be celebrating the Feast of Christ the King this weekend, the end of our liturgical year, and beginning to prepare our hearts for the Advent season. The Thanksgiving holiday will be different for many of us this year, however it’s still a time to give thanks to our loving Lord for all His abundant blessings. We’ll be giving special thanks for all of you! We continue to be grateful for your thoughts, prayers, and support!

This is a busy time of year here at the parish. We’ve included some important attachments with this email:

The first attachment is our fall letter which outlines all the upcoming parish events and schedules for the fast approaching holiday season including information about: our new calendar raffle fundraiser, our Thanksgiving Mass, the Advent Adult Enrichment Program, the Christmas gift program, 2021 100 Club memberships and our Christmas Mass schedule. Please note that there is a change to this schedule, so be sure to read the letter for all the details!

The second is our new calendar raffle fundraiser. We’ve officially begun calendar sales and we’re excited! The calendar is filled with $4,000 worth of cash and gift card prizes! Calendars will be on sale until December 30, 2020. A description of this fundraiser is included in the fall letter. Calendars may be picked up at the parish office, downloaded from our parish website: www.stjoenash.org or purchased by using a credit card through Eventgroove Fundraising, an online fundraising platform, using this link: https://go.eventgroovefundraising.com/34ac00. Get your Christmas shopping done early! This calendar would make a great Christmas gift for family and friends!

The third is a description/registration form for our proposed Advent Adult Enrichment Program. The deadline for registration for this program is Wednesday, November 25th. This program will only be held if there is sufficient interest given the health concerns of many during these days of pandemic. So, if you’d like to attend, please complete the registration form and send it to the parish or email Janice Mercure at janicemercure@stjoenash.org and let her know you’d like to attend.

Bishop Christian and the entire parish staff extend our warm Thanksgiving wishes to you and your loved ones!

Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,

please look kindly upon us and receive our heartfelt gratitude in this time of giving thanks. Thank you for all the graces and blessings You have bestowed upon us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage,

our food and shelter, our health, the love we have for one another, our family and friends. Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us continued graces and blessing throughout the coming year.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. – Gretchen Filz

God’s blessings and peace,

Bishop Christian and the Parish Staff
