The season of winter brings thoughts of cold days and nights, snow drifts and cozy fires with a cup of hot chocolate and memories of times past. The Advent season arrives with the Christmas upon us as we scurry to meet deadlines of giving gifts and planning our Christmas feast. The day's drift into January as we approach the Lenten season with the promise of the Resurrection on Easter.
Throughout the Church Seasons and the blessings, we receive from our Lord, there is a group of men known as the Knights of Columbus, council 12311 of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. The yearly effort and prayers from the men of this council for the parish and greater community are busy with planning and raising money for the many noteworthy causes.
Comradery, prayer, teambuilding and hours of work go into many activities the parish community helps participate in during the course of the year.
Upcoming in February will be a Pancake Breakfast after the 8:00AM and 10:00AM Masses, February 6th. Generally, this is a free breakfast, however this year we will have a freewill offering to help pay for various expenses towards the large wooden cross on the hill. Please come and enjoy a hot pancake breakfast away from the chills of winter and meet some of the Knights of this exuberant council.
